Dies ist der Kerngedanke, der die Bristoler Screamo-Aufsteiger Cainhurst verbindet. Die vier Mitglieder gründeten sich im Sommer 2022 und wurden von einem gemeinsamen Hunger angespornt, ihre Botschaft von queerer Akzeptanz und Trans-Freiheit durch chaotischen, herzzerreißenden und krankhaft brutalen Lärm zu verbreiten. Mit ihrer Live-Show, die als „wahrhaftig intim bis zur Grenze des Unbehagens“ und „fieberhaft erschütternd“ beschrieben wurde, haben sie sich mit ihrer eigenen Form von dissonanter und leidenschaftlicher Emoviolence einen Ruf für lebhafte und emotionale Auftritte erworben, die dem Publikum noch lange nach dem Erlöschen der Lichter in Erinnerung bleiben.

Autumn Kids
Wehmut, Verzweiflung, Rage.
Das ist nur ein Teil der Emotionen, die die Bamberger Emotive Hardcore Band ‘autumn kids’ in ihren Songs zum Ausdruck bringt. Sie scheuen nicht davor zurück, auch unbequeme, häufig von persönlichen Erlebnissen inspirierte, Themen anzusprechen, die durch die Songs verarbeitet werden.
Während der EP ‘Seasons’ befand sich die Band in der Findungsphase, die Single ‘Retrospektive’ stellte einen progressiven Ausflug dar. Das erste Album ‘Letters’ ist nun die erste Manifestierung ihres eigenen Sounds und führt die musikalische Reise weiter. Dabei wird nicht vor Dynamischem, Chaotischem und Düsterem zurückgeschreckt.
Intime und persönliche Live-Shows, gepaart mit antifaschistischer Grundhaltung und einer klaren Offenheit gegenüber alten und neuen Gesichtern sind Werte, die ‘autumn kids’ auf der Bühne und im Alltag lebt.

This is the core tenant that binds Bristol screamo upstarts Cainhurst. Forming in the summer of 2022, the four members were spurred on by a shared hunger to spread their message of queer acceptance and trans freedom through chaotic, gut-wrenching and sickeningly violent noises. With a live show that has been described as “genuienly intimate to the point of borderline discomfort” and “feverishly convulsing”, their own brand of dissonant and impassioned emoviolence has earned them a reputation for lively and emotional performances leaving them in the audience’s mind long after the lights

Those are only parts of the emotions that Bamberg, Germany-based emotive hardcore band ‘autumn kids’ expresses in their songs. They also don’t hesitate to address uncomfortable topics in their songs, which are often inspired by personal events. During their first EP ‘Seasons’, the band was in a discovery phase, while ‘Retrospektive’ represented a more progressive excursion. The first LP ‘letters’ is now the manifestation of their own sound and continues the musical journey of autumn kids with a dynamic, chaotic, gloomy touch. Intimate and personal live shows, paired with an anti-fascist attitude and a clear openness to old and new faces at their shows are values that ‘autumn kids’ lives on stage and in everyday life.
